The Australian Kelpie is intelligent, alert, and loyal. They’ll do well in any home. This pooch is medium in size with a short and smooth double coat that can come in a handful of colors. Luckily, grooming is minimal for this doggo. To see this adorable pup, take a look at the Australian Kelpie photos shown below.

This purebred has a lot of energy. So, they’ll need a house with a fenced-in yard to unleash their energy. They will also prefer going on long walks or jogs with you each day. Since they’re used to herding, they may tend to herd young children, other dogs, cats, or small animals in the house. However, this can be nipped in the bud with proper training and early socialization.

Australian Kelpies are intelligent and eager to learn. So, training should be easy. They’ll excel at obedience and agility training since it will really give them a good workout. In fact, this pooch will make an excellent watchdog, but they’re not vocal. They will only bark when they feel the need to warn you of something.

Overall, this pup is affectionate and loyal to its family members. So, after a day of exercising and playing, they will be more than happy to cuddle with you for a little while before bed.
