The Frengle, also known as the Frengle Hound, is a crossbreed of the French Bulldog and the Beagle. There’s a lot to love about this hybrid since they take some of the best traits from both of its parent breeds. It’s unknown when this mixed breed came to be, but it originated in the United States as a companion dog and a watchdog. Overall, this crossbreed is gentle, alert, and cheerful.

For example, the Frengle is loyal and affectionate with its family members. Also, they’re excellent around young children and other dogs. However, they’ll need time to warm up to strangers. With early socialization and training, the Frengle can get used to others quickly. For instance, this dog breed is easy to train because they want to please their owners. But, on the other hand, they can be stubborn and independent at times. So, if you feel the need, you can hire a professional dog trainer to help you out.

The Frengle – A Great Family Dog

Frengles are small to medium-sized dogs, with males slightly bigger than females. For example, males can grow to be about eight to 15 inches tall and weigh between 15 and 28 pounds. On the other hand, females can grow to be about eight to 12 inches tall and weigh between 13 and 16 pounds. They can take after either parent breed when it comes to their appearance. However, grooming should be minimal, and they won’t shed too much. You’ll still want to brush their coat at least once a week to keep it looking great.

In addition, the Frengle is active and has exceptionally high energy levels. So, they’ll need about 120 minutes of physical activity per day. They won’t do well in an apartment but will require a bigger house with a fenced-in yard where they can run around and roam.

Finally, bring them to the vet at least once a year for their annual checkup. The Frengle has an average lifespan of about 12 to 15 years with proper care.
