If you’ve never seen one, here are some Dachsador photos!

If you’ve never heard of a Dachsador, that’s unsurprising. That’s because the Daschsador is not a breed at all, but a cross between a Dachshund and a Labrador Retriever.

It’s very important to be aware of a few things when getting a mixed breed dog. Backyard breeders are attracted to crossing breeds, as they don’t have to prove they’re legitimate with AKC papers. Often, these puppies won’t have health-tested parents or will include breeds other than the two the breeder claims they’re mixed with. Do your research if you want to purchase a mixed breed of dog or you could end up with expensive vet bills or socialization issues down the line.

In appearance, this dog could end up being a medium-sized dog, although nothing is guaranteed. They might have the long body of a Dachshund and will usually have a short coat. This makes it easy to keep up with their grooming.

High Energy Dogs

These are loyal and affectionate dogs, but first-time owners might find them a challenge. This is because of their high energy. Although they might not be very large dogs, they’ll still need to go walking regularly and have outlets for their energy. The good news is that they get along great with children, so they make awesome family pets. As with any dog, keep introductions slow and steady just in case.

To truly understand this breed you can look at some of these photos of the dog from a puppy right through to a senior dog. Click on any of the links and you will discover some of the very best Instagram accounts to follow. As you will see from the photos this is a breed you will quickly fall in love with.
