If you have your heart set on getting a large dog breed, then look no further than the Dogue de Bordeaux. This pooch is massive, growing to be about 26 to 27 inches tall and weighing between 99 and 110 pounds or more. They have a smooth and short coat that requires a lot of grooming. This is because the coat sheds quite a bit, so that that weekly brushing will be a must. However, this doggo is beautiful, coming in a few different coat colors and markings. Take a look at the Dogue de Bordeaux photos shown below to see for yourself.

A Big Dog

According to the American Kennel Club, the Dogue de Bordeaux is part of the working group. They are often described as loyal, affectionate, and courageous. This doggo is affectionate with their family members, good with kids, and good with other dogs. However, they’ll still need proper training and early socialization to get used to other dogs and kids. The same goes for strangers. At first, the Dogue de Bordeaux will be wary of them, but that can be fixed with socialization.

This doggo is easy to train and has moderate energy levels. However, they’ll still love a fenced-in yard to run around and play with you.
