If you want to see some Korean Jindo Dog photos, we’ve got you covered.

The Korean Jindo, or Jindo Dog, is a dog native to Jindo Island in South Korea — if you haven’t guessed from the name! It’s a double-coated dog that comes in a variety of colors. Although they do need regular grooming, you should never shave a dog with a double coat, as it protects them. They have a thick tail and stand at up to 21″.

They are incredibly gentle and loyal dogs. This makes them great companions for families, and they do well with small children. They tend to be patient, but children should still be taught how to respect these dogs. Any dog can snap, if pushed hard enough. They’ll also get along well with small animals as long as you take introductions slow. Introduce them to other dogs on neutral ground first, if possible, because that will set them both up for success.

An Active Dog

Despite their gentleness, these dogs are highly active. If you’re going to own a Jindo Dog, you need to prepare yourself because they can jump fences. Make sure you have a six feet high fence and your dog is getting enough stimulation. This doesn’t only mean physical, but mental stimulation as well. Give them plenty of puzzles to sink their teeth into and long walks, as well as space to run around if possible.

A high-energy dog with nothing to do can be miserable and destructive!
