You might not have heard of the Mudi dog breed, but you’ve most likely seen them around. This doggo is a small to medium purebred that can grow up to 18.5 inches and weigh 29 pounds. In addition, they have a lifespan of 12 to 14 years. Mudis have curly coats that are medium in length. They can come in a few different coat colors with merle markings. There’s a lot to love about this dog breed, so check out the Mudi photos shown below.
The Mudi dog was initially bred to be a herding pup. They are intelligent, active, loyal, and protective. So, they make excellent watchdogs. However, they are not an aggressive breed. So, if you’re looking for a guard dog, this pooch won’t be it. Mudis are affectionate with their family members, but they might not be too friendly to young children, other dogs, or strangers. Luckily, they are easy to train. So, proper training and early socialization will be a good idea for this pooch.
Since this doggo was bred for a job, Mudis have high energy levels. Therefore, they need plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation every day. They’re small enough to live in an apartment, but since they love to bark and have high energy, this pooch will be better off in a bigger home with a fenced-in yard.
