There’s a lot to love about Rottweilers. This dog breed looks tough, but they are loyal to their family members, affectionate, and good with children. These watchdogs are playful, easy to train, and have minimal shedding for their short coat. If you brought home a puppy of this purebred, then check out these awesome Rottweiler names.

What should you name your Rottweiler puppy?

Among crate training and potty training, you’re going to need to teach your Rottweiler their name. Choosing a name may not be easy, especially if you and your family can’t agree on one. But, it is your dog’s identity, you know.

So, why not let your pooch name themselves? You can have a few different name options and try out each one. Whichever one your puppy replies to the most could be their name. Alternatively, you can allow your dog to choose their own collar. Assign a name to each collar, and whichever collar your doggo chooses can be their name.

Just make sure that the name options don’t sound too similar to other names in the house, their favorite toy, or a common command. Otherwise, your dog might get confused when you call their name. They may not think you’re talking to them. It can also make training a bit more difficult as well.

If you’re having trouble coming up with good names, though, you’re in luck. We’ve put together some of the best Rottweiler names in this list.
