Coco Chanel!

Coco Chanel was living with a group of women and was originally called “boiled egg". One day, the women called us for help. She had been brutally slashed all over and also suffered from a prolapsed uterus. Thankfully we brought her to the vets and were told her injuries would be treatable!

She had to wear bandages and they looked like tall pink boots on her! When she healed, the ladies who took care of Coco Chanel ("boiled egg") decided that we should find her a new home so she will never be hurt again. We thought that her fur marking at the top of her head was natural, but found out months later that someone had dyed her fur! She's beautiful regardless.

Dogs at our sanctuary

While most street dogs who need medical attention can be back with their packs within the day, some need more serious medical attention.

These are the dogs who come to stay at our sanctuary at Happy Doggo Land. Dogs who have been hit by cars, who have been badly abused, or even need to lose some weight, come to us for care and rehabilitation. Often, they’re able to go back and live their lives normally but sometimes they’re rehomed. In this case, they stay with us until they’re ready to travel.
