Moritz lived with a pack of dogs on our rounds and was always at the back of the group when it came to feeding time. A quiet and unassuming boy, he came to our attention when he was run over by a car. With two broken hips, he needed multiple operations to get back to health and we weren't sure if he'd ever walk properly again...
Even then, Moritz’s walking was affected and it was clear he needed his own humans to help him navigate the world. After a few months at the land recuperating, he travelled with Rodney and Whacker to the UK to his new home in London. Now he lives the London life with his mum Anna, dad Robert, and doggy brother Oscar. He’s still a shy boy but he’s becoming more bold and realizing the world is actually a lovely place.

While most street dogs who need medical attention can be back with their packs within the day, some need more serious medical attention.
These are the dogs who come to stay at our sanctuary at Happy Doggo Land. Dogs who have been hit by cars, who have been badly abused, or even need to lose some weight, come to us for care and rehabilitation. Often, they’re able to go back and live their lives normally but sometimes they’re rehomed. In this case, they stay with us until they’re ready to travel.
