Whacker was found with a huge gash in his head. He’d been hit with a pickaxe and was millimetres away from death. We fixed him up and he recuperated at Happy Doggo Land. However, we soon realized he couldn’t go back to the streets. Whacker needed a safe home…
Hundreds of people applied to be Whacker’s humans and after much consideration, we picked a family in Scotland. He lives just outside Glasgow with his mum and dad and little doggy brother, Cooper. Despite the cold weather, he loves life and enjoys nothing more than a puppaccino.

While most street dogs who need medical attention can be back with their packs within the day, some need more serious medical attention.
These are the dogs who come to stay at our sanctuary at Happy Doggo Land. Dogs who have been hit by cars, who have been badly abused, or even need to lose some weight, come to us for care and rehabilitation. Often, they’re able to go back and live their lives normally but sometimes they’re rehomed. In this case, they stay with us until they’re ready to travel.
